The Scope of Use captures detailed information about the services you intend to deploy to consume and/or distribute market data. The Market Data Team consists of account managers, who work with you as a liaison to CME Group to understand your business model and market data needs, as deployed in the Services. Please complete the SOU as thoroughly as possible, the more complete and detailed the information you provide, the better the account managers can serve you.
CME Group requires an MDLA to establish proper licensure for market data from our exchanges and information Sources. The MDLA is a necessary legal document that gives you the right to receive, use, and/or distribute market data.

Access market data directly from CME Group via our Market Data Platform (MDP), which allows highly-efficient message delivery and is designed for scalability and flexible customer redistribution of market data messages. Choose your preferred market data format and network connection type.
More than 200 distributors are authorized to distribute real-time CME Group market data. Individuals and corporations may obtain access to real-time, delayed, and end of day quotation, trade, and market summary data for CME futures and options markets indirectly through a licensed distributor. In addition, some distributors offer a variety of value-added services such as charting, analytical, and historical data.

The Pay Per User Program allows eligible member firms to pay market data fees once per individual user directly to the exchange, instead of paying market data fees for each display device and execution platform, through each of the vendors that provide market data.
