Amendments to the Board of Trade of the City of Chicago, Inc. Rulebook Chapter 7

SUBJECT:      Amendments to the Board of Trade of the City of Chicago, Inc. Rulebook Chapter 7                           

Effective trade date October 20, 2014 and pending all relevant CFTC regulatory review periods, the Board of Trade of the City of Chicago, Inc. (CBOT or Exchange) will amend CBOT Rulebook Chapter 7.  Specifically, Rule 708, Minimum Financial Requirements for Agricultural Regularity, is being amended such that an approved firm is required to notify the Exchange of any substantial reduction in their capital as opposed to notifying the Exchange upon a reduction of 20% of the firm’s tangible net worth.

The amendments to CBOT Rulebook Chapter 7 also contain certain administrative, non-substantive changes.
