What is CME Group Benchmark Administration Limited?

CME Group Benchmark Administration Limited, formally known as NEX Data Services Limited, offers a variety of multi-asset class products. Delivering pricing, analytics, index and regulatory solutions to clients for trading and market analysis. CME Group Benchmark Administration Limited is a group company of CME Group Inc. Why does my firm need to sign a new Agreement?

CME Group acquired NEX Data Services Limited (now CME Group Benchmark Administration Limited), on November 2, 2018. All customers that receive CME Group Benchmark Administration Limited data will be required to execute an Information License Agreement (ILA) (and accompanying schedules) if such customer does not currently maintain an ILA with CME Group or the new schedules if an existing licensee under an ILA, beginning in Q3 2020.

What Agreement does my firm need to sign?

You will need to sign an Information License Agreement (ILA) Agreement.

Will my fees be changing?

Your fees will not change as you migrate to the Information License Agreement.

Will the way I am billed for data change?

You will continue to be billed by Bloomberg for the data products you are entitled to receive. The products that are billed directly by Bloomberg are as follows:

GovPX, RepoPX, GovPX End of Day, and BrokerTec Live

Will there be any changes to the way my firm receives data?

No, there will be no change in the manner and form your firm receives the data today from Bloomberg.

What will be the term of my new Agreement(s)?

Customers should refer to their new agreement for specific information, but can expect a similar term as their current agreement.

Our firm no longer uses the data, do we need to sign a new agreement?

If your firm no longer uses or receives CME Group Benchmark Administration data, please contact CME Group Data Sales at CMEDataSales@cmegroup.com.

Our firm would like to add additional data, can we do that under the new Information License Agreement?

When does my firm need to complete this Agreement to ensure we don’t lose access to the data?

The Agreement should be completed within 120 days of receipt of the notification which details how to migrate to the new Agreement.  Please contact CME Group Data Sales at CMEDataSales@cmegroup.com  with questions related to the timelines.

I am not the correct person at my firm to receive this notification, who can I contact to be sure this gets to the appropriate party at my firm?

Do I have to sign an Agreement?

Yes, if you wish to continue to receive CME Group Benchmark Administration Limited  data on your Bloomberg Terminal, you are required to enter into this license agreement.

When will my firm receive the Agreement?

Your firm will be notified in Q3 2020 of its obligations to complete a new Agreement. Details will be provided with regards to the process to complete the Agreement.
