At CME Group, we understand the importance of entry-level opportunities for building careers and fostering professional growth. We offer apprenticeship and internship programs for students, as well as various paths for those starting their post-education careers. All of our programs provide challenging work and the chance to collaborate with leading experts in financial services and technology.

Belfast


Our award-winning higher-level degree apprenticeships provide an opportunity for participants to leave university with no debt, earn a competitive salary and practically apply their degree studies, with colleagues providing ongoing coaching and support.

Our Technology Apprenticeship Program was awarded Apprenticeship of the Year in 2024. We were also presented with the Skills and Education Award by Business in the Community NI.

Eligibility

Must be in your final year of A levels or equivalent, and able to work in Belfast for the duration of the program.

Timing

Apply between January and March each year, with a September start date.


Each year, we bring in numerous students to spend a year working primarily within our technology teams.  Many of our interns have gone on to join us in full-time roles.

Eligibility

Degree must have a placement year built in, and you must be able to work in Belfast for the duration of the year.

Timing

Apply typically between September and November timeframe, with a July start.

Technology Rotational Analyst Program

Graduate (or equivalent) entry-level software engineering-focused program, offering employees the experience of working with various teams within the first 12-18 months.

Entry-level jobs

Non-rotational entry-level roles within technology and across other business areas such as finance, global operations and transformation and execution.

Timing

Apply typically between September and November for the Technology Rotational Analyst Program, with a September start. Other opportunities arise throughout the year.


London


Our internship opportunities usually last 12 weeks during the college or university break, though we also sponsor several internships which may last anywhere from three to 12 months.

Eligibility

Applicants must not have graduated and must be able to work in London for the duration of the internship. Priority given to penultimate-year undergraduate students.

Timing

Placement year opportunities are typically advertised beginning in January, with an early summer start.
