Pending all relevant CFTC regulatory review periods, effective trade date August 4, 2014, the New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc. (NYMEX or Exchange) will amend the contract size and value rule for three (3) petroleum futures contracts such that the size of the contracts is reduced from 1,000 metric tons to 100 metric tons. As such, the aggregate into ratios for the initial spot month position limit, single and all-month accountability levels will be adjusted to reflect the new size of the contracts. The initial spot month position limit, single month and all-month accountability levels are unchanged and provided below in the contract unit of the parent futures contract. The terms and conditions for the three (3) petroleum futures contracts will be updated and inserted into the NYMEX Position Limit, Position Accountability and Reportable Level Table located in the Interpretations and Special Notices Section of Chapter 5 of the NYMEX Rulebook effective August 4, 2014.
