    • Effective March 2, 2009, the current NYMEX ATOM system will be replaced by the Brokerage Payment System (BPS).
       
      BPS provides such key features as:
      • Web-based and accessible in the CME Group portal
      • Retroactive rate entry
      • User ability to create daily and monthly ad hoc reports
      • Differentiation between electronic and pit executions
       
      Production Parallel Testing
      On February 2, 2009, a new brokerage payment system “BPS” will be available for production parallel testing.  To ensure a seamless transition, NYMEX/COMEX brokerage rate tables in ATOM will be automatically converted to BPS. This means firms will not have to re-enter their ATOM brokerage rates into BPS.  Accordingly, we strongly encourage you to take this time to familiarize yourself with BPS and ensure all data has been successfully converted.
       
      BPS Parallel testing will be accessible through CME Certification portal at: http://connectcert.cme.com. To obtain access to this parallel environment, please fill out the following security access form:

      BPS Training
      BPS training will be conducted throughout February. Initial classes will be held at the NYMEX building, One North End Avenue, New York, NY in the 4th floor Training Center, please refer to the following schedule below for dates and times. Subsequent training classes will be announced in later advisories.
