High-volume futures broker Advantage Futures became the first firm to successfully launch CME Group’s Federation initiative in the production environment. This initiative enhances cyber security for all participants.
Advantage CTO Tom Guinan commented, “Advantage is committed to working with the CME and the entire futures industry on new technology initiatives and CME Group Federation allows Advantage to better manage its users' credentials into CME applications. As a result, when Advantage users leave their organization, web access to CME applications are denied as soon as the user is disabled in Advantage’s directory.”
CME Group Senior Managing Director & President CME Clearing Suzanne Sprague stated, “Enhanced security, user experience and reduced operational overhead are all benefits to firms who choose to utilize CME Group’s Federation capability and CME Group looks forward to eventually enabling its Federation solution to all CME Clearing firms.”
