Security Status Launch for CME Market Data Over WebSocket API - April 21
Effective Sunday, April 21 (trade date Monday, April 22), CME Group will launch Market Data Security Status messaging functionality for CME Market Data over WebSocket API. The Market Data Security Status message is used to indicate:
- Security group market state change
- Instrument state change
- Implied matching OFF/ ON state

CME Benchmark Administration Premium SBE Schema Launch - April 21
Effective Sunday, April 21 (trade date Monday, April 22), CME Group will update the Simple Binary Encoding (SBE) schema for CME Benchmark Administration Premium channel 261 and Smart Stream SBE. The new schema will be incremented from version 2 to 3 in the version field in the simple binary header. There will be no SBE template impacts with this update.
Complete schema details can be found in the New Release schema on the FTP/SFTP site via the file svstreammktdata_v3.xml. The production version 3 SBE schema file on the FTP/SFTP will be available starting this Sunday, March 31.
The new SBE schema is currently available for customer testing in New Release.
Settlements and Valuations SBE Schema and Eris B and C Launch - April 21
Effective Sunday, April 21 (trade date Monday, April 22), CME Group will update the Simple Binary Encoding (SBE) schema for CME Data Insights Settlements and Valuations and Smart Stream SBE to support the launch of Eris B&C datasets.
The Eris B&C datasets provide current pricing components, historical settlement and conversion data for Eris Swap futures; an alternative to traditional Over-the-Counter Interest Rate Swaps (OTC IRS) currently offered by CME Group.

Increased Mass Quote Messaging Reject Threshold - April 21
Effective Sunday, April 21 (trade date Monday, April 22), customers will be able to quote and quote cancel up to 400 messages per second (MPS). Currently, customers can quote or quote cancel a maximum of 375 MPS.

UpdateCME Globex Order Entry Web Service APIs - Q2 2024

Clients now have access to CME Group futures and options on the new Order Entry Suite of APIs - Hosted by Google Cloud.
This solution is accessible over the public internet without the commitment of leased line or co-location investments. RESTful and WebSocket APIs with full order routing and instrument creation functionality deliver real-time trading and market exposure insight. This lightweight product is optimized for the needs of less latency sensitive traders and algorithms, while still offering fulsome functionality and utilizing the full suite of CME Globex risk and credit controls.
The OE APIs are made up of two Web Service APIs: RESTful and WebSocket. These APIs support:
- Order Submission and Modifications
- Strategy Creation (UDS) and Request for Quotes (RFQ) Capabilities
- Order and Trade Status Request

UpdateiLink 3 CGW Migration - Deadline December 31

iLink 3 is now live in production for CGW since January 28, 2024. All customers using the Convenience Gateways (CGW) for order entry must complete their migration to iLink 3 by Tuesday, December 31, including functional certification and session migration as outlined in the Client Impact Assessment.
A charge of $1,000 USD per iLink session per week is applied to each session that has not yet migrated to iLink 3.
Effective Sunday, February 2, 2025, iLink 2 on CGW will be decommissioned and all CGW sessions will support iLink 3.
Update on Order Routing and Front-End Audit Trail Requirements for iLink 3
† As part of the iLink 3 migration, all customer systems must be certified for Audit Trail for iLink 3 prior to going to the production environment.

Product Changes
Change to Committed-Cross Functionality for CME and CBOT Equity Options - April 14
Effective Sunday, April 14 (trade date Monday, April 15), and pending all relevant regulatory review periods, the Committed-Cross(C-Cross) Better Price or Volume Match (BPVM) allocation for CME and CBOT Equity options on CME Globex will be amended to 50%.
Currently the C-Cross BPVM allocation is configured to 0%.
These changes are currently available in New Release for customer testing.

Certification is mandatory for all customers who intend to leverage the cross functionality on CME Globex.
NewChange to Minimum Price Increment for €STR Futures and Spread Strategy Type - April 21
Effective Sunday, April 21 (trade date Monday, April 22), pending the completion of all regulatory review periods, the minimum price fluctuation in tag 969-MinimumPriceIncrement on MDP 3.0 Security Definition (tag 35-MsgType=d) for the €STR futures and spreads will change.
Along with this change, the strategy type for the €SR vs. SR3 spread will change from IS to RI. Details on the spread type functionality are available in the CME Group Client Systems Wiki. The spread type is defined in tag 762-SecuritySubType in the MDP 3.0 Security Definition message.

Changes to External Instrument Name for S&P 500 Options - Limited Resting Order Eliminations - June 30
Effective Sunday, June 30 (trade date Monday, July 1), CME Group will make changes to the external instrument name to support 5-byte strike prices for S&P 500 options. The external instrument name is provided in MDP 3.0 tag 55-Symbol and iLink tag 107-SecurityDesc.
Only S&P 500 options that have strikes less than 1,000 will be impacted.
Please Note: To facilitate this change, customers will be asked to cancel all Good ‘Till Cancel (GTC) and Good ‘Till Date (GTD) orders for contracts with strikes < 1,000, including any User- or Exchange-Defined Spreads, by the close on Friday, June 28. After 4:00 p.m. Central Time (CT) on Friday, June 28, any remaining GT orders on these markets will be removed by the CME Global Command Center (GCC).

Messaging Efficiency Program Q2 2024 - Now Available
The Q2 2024 CME Globex futures and options on futures Messaging Efficiency Program Product Group Benchmarks are now available. No changes were made in Q2 2024 Product Group Benchmarks versus Q1 2024 Product Group Benchmarks.
Please Note: The Excessive Messaging Threshold (EMT) for both Globex Firms and iLink session IDs remains in place for all futures and options on futures products which trade on CME Globex. Please refer to pages 16-18 in the CME Globex Messaging Efficiency Program for EMT related information.
The CME Globex Messaging Efficiency Program creates fair business guidelines by which customers are billed a surcharge for overly high message rates.
CME Globex firms who exceed the benchmark ratios in applicable product groups and are signed-up accordingly, receive email notifications of any potential surcharges. CME Globex firms who have access to the Firm Administrator Dashboard have the ability to view their messaging statistics on a T+1 basis.

Please take note the publication times of these files will be midnight Central Time (CT) but will continue to be available free of charge. For those that require daily Settlement Files before midnight, the end of day file is available via CME DataMine with paid subscription.
Clients with real-time or delayed market data licenses who receive their data via CME MDP 3.0 Market Data, CME Group Data on Google Pub/Sub, or an authorized distributor of CME Group market data, may expect settlement publication times to remain unchanged.

Contemporaneous with these changes, settlement prices on cmegroup.com product pages will also be published at midnight CT.

NewSave the Date: Final Phase of CME Group Backup Datacenter Migration and Test - May 11
CME Group is pleased to announce it is completing the final phase of a multiyear move and upgrade of our backup datacenter as part of our commitment to the protection of our customers. To help ensure customers can connect to our backup clearing and trading systems, CME Group will hold mock disaster recovery testing at 10 a.m. Eastern Time (ET) Saturday, May 11. A registration form and test script will be available in the coming days.
Please Note: Unlike the annual FIA exercise, customers do not need to test from Disaster Recovery – please plan to stay in your production environment if you join us on May 11.
