BrokerTec GFE Connectivity to CME STP FIX on Google Cloud - April 26

Effective Sunday, April 26, the on-premise instances for CME STP FIX will be decommissioned. All versions of the BrokerTec Global Front End (GFE) must connect to CME STP FIX on Google Cloud to ensure the Clearing Trades tab continues to function after April 26. Connections to the on-premise services will no longer be available.

To prevent any disruption of service, clients must verify that the required hostnames for their connection type have been allowlisted and are available from their traders' workstations.

Action Required: Upgrade to BrokerTec Sync Client Versions 5.0 to Avoid Service Interruption - June 26

All clients must upgrade to BrokerTec Sync client versions 5.0 by Friday, June 26, 2026, to avoid loss of access to the BrokerTec GFE for clients dependent on BrokerTec Sync.

BrokerTec Sync client versions 4.x or older have not been supported since Monday, June 2, 2025. 

Network Requirements

As our services migrate to Google Cloud, this new client version requires access to the following URLs over the public Internet from the BrokerTec Sync user’s workstation:

Installation Requirements

Please note that customers upgrading from a previous version of the BrokerTec Sync client will be prompted to reboot their workstation during the upgrade process. To minimize disruption, we strongly encourage customer support teams to schedule this upgrade at an appropriate time.

BrokerTec Global Front End Client Upgrade 11.9 - Now Available

On Wednesday, April 8, BrokerTec Global Front End (GFE) Client software was upgraded to 11.9.

Firms that need to package the BrokerTec Client for distribution can now download version 11.9.

Customers using BrokerTec Sync will automatically be upgraded to the latest version.

This software release includes:

• Bills Repos added to the Buy in Bulk window for U.S. Repo markets
• Firm highlighting and "Delete All Orders" from TP-ICAP Matching sessions added to the Consolidated Matching Window
• Display scaling configuration available in Preferences >> Connection to match the application UI elements with the Microsoft Windows 'Scale' setting
• Technical enhancements aimed at improving application stability

CME STP FIX and FIXML - Truncation of Trailing Zeros in Specific Quantity Fields - April 26

Effective Sunday, April 26 (trade date Monday, April 27), the trailing zeros will be truncated in the Unit of Measure Quantity and Trading Quantity fields in CME STP FIX and FIXML Trade Capture Reports. This truncation does not change the precision of these fields.

CME STP FIX on Google Cloud - Production Internet Connectivity - April 26

As part of a phased migration of CME Straight Through Processing APIs to Google Cloud, Production internet connectivity options for CME STP FIX API are now available.

By Sunday, April 26, all clients must complete migration and connect to CME STP FIX API Production using only the Google Cloud hostnames.

CME STP FIX on Google Cloud is available in parallel to the current on-prem instance. When connecting in parallel to Google Cloud and on-prem instances, clients should ensure trades are not double-booked.

A mandatory supplemental certification for message recovery is now available for CME STP FIX on Google Cloud.
