CBOT TO OBSERVE MOMENTS OF SILENCE IN HONOR OF SEPTEMBER 11 ATTACK VICTIMS
CHICAGO, IL, September 8, 2006 – The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT®) today announced that on Monday, September 11, 2006, in conjunction with other major financial exchanges, the CBOT open auction market will observe two separate one-minute periods of silence in memory of the terrorist attack victims of September 11, 2001.
The moments of silence will occur at 7:46 a.m. and 9:29 a.m. CT. The CBOT Agricultural markets, which normally open at 9:30 a.m. CT, will open instead at 9:31 a.m. CT. The 9:31 a.m. open will apply to both open auction and e-cbot Agricultural trading.
