NYMEX Sets Volume Record for Gold Futures on NYMEX ACCESS®

NEW YORK, N.Y., May 15, 2006 — The New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc., today announced record volume on NYMEX ACCESS® for the gold futures contract today.

The contract traded a record 29,513 contracts, surpassing the 25,529 contracts traded on February 6, 2003.
