NYMEX Holdings, Inc., to Distribute Dividend to Shareholders

New York, N.Y., December 19, 2005 — The board of directors of NYMEX Holdings, Inc., voted to declare and distribute a dividend of $3.6 million to stockholders of record as of December 30, 2005.

This is the eighth dividend, including the special dividend in July 2005, issued by the holding company of the New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc., since the demutualization of the Exchange in November 2000.

Each stockholder will receive $4,411.76 per share of NYMEX Holdings common stock during the week of January 16, 2006.

Exchange Chairman Mitchell Steinhause said,"In this year of record seat sales, record volumes, and dynamic growth both domestically and abroad, the Exchange is pleased to declare this dividend and have its shareholders participate in its success."
