Live Cattle futures traded steady as declining cash prices and boxed beef values countered bullish market fundamentals, with the December contract falling $5.82 to $227.95. Feeder Cattle futures rebounded following Friday's month-end selling, pushing the January contract up $2.90 to $334.67 amid expectations of tightening supplies. Lean Hog futures traded sideways for a fourth consecutive session, despite a $41 million USDA purchase aimed at providing market relief. Meanwhile, money managers pushed Lean Hog net short positions to a record high of over 51,000 contracts.
