Live Cattle futures climbed higher, supported by firm cash prices and stronger cutouts as the market looks ahead to Friday's Cattle on Feed report. Feeder Cattle futures saw significant strength, surging to a two-month high as falling corn prices provided a boost, lifting futures $51 from their August 26 lows. Meanwhile, Lean Hog futures faced downward pressure from lower pork cutouts, sending the contract to a new low, though higher belly prices offered some underlying support ahead of the upcoming Cold Storage report.
