U.S. stocks trade mostly lower as hotter inflation data pushes Treasury yields higher. September CPI rose 0.6% on the month and 3.7% from a year earlier, driven by higher gasoline prices. Russell futures lead index declines, while gold, silver, copper and bitcoin also retreat against a firmer U.S. dollar. Ahead of the upcoming FOMC blackout, Fed Chair Kevin Warsh prepares to address the IMF in Bangkok. Looking ahead, market participants await quarterly earnings from regional banks and Taiwan Semiconductor, alongside U.S. retail sales, PPI and jobless claims data.
