Euro FX futures continued to decline through the end of September, closing out the month with a loss of over 2.5%. The currency struggled as sustained dollar strength pushed prices to a new year-to-date low close, settling at 1.1330. As prices have moved lower, the CVOL Index has indicated steadily rising volatility across the market. Looking ahead, traders turn their focus to the labor market, with Thursday's Challenger job cuts and jobless claims leading into Friday's critical nonfarm payrolls report.
