WTI Crude Oil futures experienced a significant pullback this week, dropping more than $8 to settle near $92.30. Prices retreated from last week's highs above the $100 mark as reports of increased peace talks weighed on the market. Despite the sharp decline in prices, the CVOL index finished the week higher, reflecting increased uncertainty and the potential for weekend event risks. On the positioning front, speculators maintained their strategy of buying the dip. Managed money continued to add to net long positions in the market, pushing total length to the highest levels seen since mid-June.
