Equity index futures faced widespread pressure as a selloff in semiconductor stocks weighed on the broader market. Dow futures outperformed other major indices, limiting losses due to lighter exposure to the technology sector compared to the Nasdaq-100 and S&P 500. Additionally, rising Treasury yields placed disproportionate pressure on small-cap stocks. The 10-Year Treasury yield reached its highest level since 2007 following hawkish comments from Fed Governor Michael Barr, creating headwinds for Russell 2000 companies that carry higher levels of floating-rate debt.
