Soybean and Corn futures traded in a sideways pattern as rain in the Corn Belt slowed harvest progress. Options open interest in the corn market topped 1 million contracts, the highest level in several years, while soybean options open interest exceeded 450,000. In the wheat complex, futures rebounded slightly off technical support as Black Sea region exports declined. Chicago December Wheat traded up to 736'0 before giving back gains to close unchanged on the day. The Federal Reserve's 25 bps rate hike introduces a potential headwind for further agricultural market upside this week.
