Gold futures rebounded after testing support near their 200-day moving average, dropping to a low of $4,506 before rallying to $4,597.10. The metal built on Wednesday's gains following the release of the FOMC meeting minutes, which showed ongoing debate over rate hikes while softer economic data continues to support prices. Additionally, the U.S. Treasury's plans to expand its bond buyback program over the coming quarter are helping push long-term yields lower, reducing the opportunity cost of holding gold.
