Dan Deming of KKM Financial analyzes performance across equity index futures as Russell 2000 futures advanced to new all-time highs. The small-cap index gained roughly 0.33%, touching 3,068 in futures trading, driven by outsized gains in tech hardware small-cap stocks. Deming notes that strong earnings announcements and demand in the hardware space offset headwinds from elevated interest rates. While the S&P 500, Dow, and Nasdaq-100 pulled back slightly from recent highs, small caps demonstrated distinct relative strength to lead the market.
