September Natural Gas futures gap lower and trade down for the session following a larger-than-expected inventory build. The EIA reports an increase of 36 billion cubic feet, bringing the surplus to 198 billion cubic feet. However, weather forecasts predict strong high-pressure systems bringing extreme heat up to 110 degrees across the southern U.S., likely keeping natural gas demand robust in the near term.
