Natural Gas futures closed higher for a second consecutive session after rebounding from a six-month low. Today's EIA storage report showed an injection of 28 billion cubic feet, which came in below market expectations of 35 billion cubic feet, though still above the five-year average of 26 billion cubic feet. Total working gas in storage stands at 3,084 billion cubic feet, maintaining a surplus of 185 billion cubic feet over historical norms. Meanwhile, national weather forecasts point to sustained high temperatures across Texas and the Plains, offset by cooler conditions and rain in the Midwest and Northeast, keeping overall cooling demand elevated.
