Today in the livestock market, Live Cattle futures made another new high, driven by cash trade moving $4 higher in the south. The market saw the June contract rise $2.47 to 255.97, with CVOL for Live Cattle futures resting at 16.4%. Feeder Cattle futures experienced a mixed session, making a quick reversal to end slightly lower after an initial $5 range, as rising crude oil prices impacted the market. Meanwhile, Lean Hogs futures surged as packers became more aggressive, with the market climbing $2.48 to 104.45 and CVOL for Lean Hogs futures at 19.2%.
