Grain futures finished the week with mixed results as market participants analyzed new export data. March Corn futures settled at 431'6, gaining 1'4 for the week. March Soybean futures declined 4'2 on the session to settle at 1,134'0, though they remained 17'6 higher for the week. March Chicago Wheat futures settled at 548'6, marking a weekly gain of 19'0. Weekly export sales reports showed Corn net sales at 2.07 million metric tons, exceeding analyst expectations and placing yearly totals well ahead of the previous year. Soybean sales reached 282,000 metric tons, while Wheat sales were reported at 488,000 metric tons. With U.S. markets closed on Monday for Presidents Day, attention is shifting toward South American weather developments and upcoming spring planting decisions for U.S. producers.
