Wholesale box beef reports provided a mixed signal, as Choice cuts increased 2.24 to 370.00, contrasting with a decline in Select cuts. Daily slaughter figures to start the week remained consistent with previous periods, reported at 107,000 head. Volatility across the sector continued to moderate, with the CVOL index for Live Cattle and Lean Hogs trending lower, reaching levels not seen since October.
