Dow futures realized higher price action for a second session, climbing more than 1.25% to reach new all time highs at 49,275. Strength in consumer discretionary and energy sectors supported the rally, with the Dow futures outperforming other major indices on a relative basis. While the Russell 2000 futures showed significant gains of nearly 1.75%, they remained below previous peaks. Meanwhile, S&P 500 futures rose to within 1% of record levels, and Nasdaq-100 futures gained over half a percent as the broader equity complex moved higher to start the year.
