Russell 2000 futures declined for a third consecutive session, falling approximately 0.67% to reach a two-week low of 2,519. Small-cap stocks showed the least relative strength among major indices as persistent interest rate levels weighed on market sentiment. While the S&P 500, Nasdaq-100, and Dow futures also finished near session lows, the selling pressure was most pronounced in the Russell 2000. Traders noted that the lack of downward movement in rates toward the end of the year has shifted sentiment for interest-rate-sensitive assets.
