Grain markets saw early strength that faded as the trading day progressed. March Corn futures settled slightly lower at 449.75, though they remained up for the week. March Soybean futures rose to settle at 1,072.25, while Chicago Wheat futures saw a slight decline to end at 520.25. Market participants engaged in position squaring ahead of weekend diplomatic meetings regarding the conflict in Ukraine. Traders also remain focused on weather conditions in South America as crops progress in Brazil and Argentina.
