Grain markets faced broad selling pressure to end the week. January Soybeans futures fell 16.75 cents to settle at 1,076.75, marking the lowest weekly close since late October. March Corn futures dropped to 440.75, while March Chicago Wheat futures recorded a sixth consecutive weekly loss. The decline came despite USDA flash sales reporting significant purchases of corn and soybeans by Mexico and China. Additionally, CONAB lowered its Brazilian soybean production estimate to 177.12 million metric tons citing irregular rains.
