Live Cattle futures remained firm on Tuesday, supported by a neutral grain report that kept feed input prices steady. February contracts rose $1.75 to settle at $228.70, trading in a range similar to the previous session. Feeder Cattle futures also saw significant gains as feedlots held out for higher cash prices, with the January contract advancing $3.07 to $338.57. Lean Hog futures moved higher on expectations that packers will need increased supplies, successfully holding above yesterday’s rejected lows.
