Gold futures trended lower to start the week, touching a one-week low around 4,216 as the dollar regained strength and interest rates moved higher. The decline comes despite expectations for a Federal Reserve rate cut on Wednesday, as the market consolidates recent gains within the 4,200 to 4,250 range. Silver futures also saw selling pressure coming off near all-time highs, while other metals remained mixed.
