The euro climbed to a six-week high near 1.1683 before reversing lower as better-than-expected U.S. jobless claims strengthened the dollar. While the currency has rallied roughly 1.5% since late November, it settled at 1.1650 as volatility hit year-to-date lows. Attention now shifts to the September PCE index and the upcoming December FOMC meeting.
