British Pound futures surged more than 1%, closing above the 200-day moving average for the first time since October. Strong U.K. economic data, including better-than-expected PMI and housing numbers, supported the move. Conversely, the U.S. dollar weakened after negative ADP payrolls drove interest rate cut probabilities to 89%.
