Live Cattle futures and Feeder Cattle futures rallied significantly on Tuesday, with some contracts touching limit-up levels. February Live Cattle futures reached their highest price since mid-November, while January Feeder Cattle futures settled just off the daily limit. Conversely, February Lean Hog futures finished slightly lower, marking a third consecutive session of weak closes. In the cash markets, wholesale box beef prices softened, while the five-area average price for live steers remained firm. Additionally, volatility indexes declined, indicating that recent market uncertainty has eased.
