January WTI Crude Oil futures dropped to a one-month low as reports of potential peace negotiations between Russia and Ukraine pressured prices. Markets reacted to the possibility of Russian supply re-entering the global mix freely. Additionally, weaker-than-expected economic data from the U.S., UK, Germany, Canada, and Japan signaled softer commodity demand, overshadowing the increased probability of U.S. rate cuts.
