Live Cattle futures traded higher today, with supplies remaining tight and the oversold market due for a rebound. December Live Cattle futures were up $1.80 to 220.95, with February reaching 221.72. Feeder Cattle futures also rose, supported by bargain hunters despite declines in box prices and uncertainty ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday. January Feeder Cattle futures were up $5.37 to 325.92, and March reached 318.27. Lean Hog futures were steady as higher cutouts offset lower cash prices, leading to sideways movement. December Lean Hog futures were up a modest $0.62 to 79.12, and February was up $0.73 to 80.10. Market participants will be watching for possible strength from packer buying ahead of the holiday later in the week.
