Stock indexes like the Nasdaq and S&P 500 futures saw morning gains following a dip in U.S. long-end yields. The OPEC monthly report indicated a Q3 oil market surplus with strong U.S. output, prompting WTI Crude Oil futures to drop more than 3%. Gold and Silver futures were higher, with Silver futures up around 3%. The House is scheduled to vote on a stopgap funding bill to end the longest U.S. government shutdown in history, which could see federal operations resume within days. Economic highlights include a $42 billion 10-Year notes auction and earnings from 27 companies, including Cisco Systems and Flutter Entertainment.
