Grain futures saw mixed trade as the week ended, with December Corn futures settling 1.5 cents lower at $4.2725 and January Soybean futures up 9.5 cents. December Chicago Wheat futures slid 7.75 cents to $5.2775. With the US harvest nearly complete, market focus has shifted to South America. The Buenos Aires Grain Exchange reported optimal moisture conditions, noting soybean planting reached 4.4% of the expected 17.6 million hectares, and 36% of the 7.8 million hectares of corn are planted. Traders are looking ahead to the November 14th WASDE report for updated US corn and soybean yield and production estimates.
