Livestock markets were mixed today, led by gains in Feeder Cattle and Live Cattle futures. November Feeder Cattle futures rose $4.60 to settle at $381.32, a new contract high. The Relative Strength Index for Feeder Cattle reached 71.90. December Live Cattle futures gained $1.75, settling at $246.50, another new contract high and extending a winning streak to eight sessions. December Lean Hogs futures fell $1.70 to settle at $83.15, the lowest level in about two months. The wholesale Boxed Beef report was firm, with choice cuts up $0.70 to $364.61 and select cuts up $0.67 to $350.42.
