Gold futures rallied for the sixth session in the last seven, likely hitting a new all-time high closing price. A survey of 17 different gold analysts showed a predominantly bullish tone for the precious metal. Gold received a tailwind from a reversal in the dollar, which gave back a one-day rally and ended the day near its close on Wednesday. Also, three weeks of slightly higher bond yields have ended, removing another headwind for gold.
