Euro futures opened the week higher, closing near 1.1725 as the USD moved lower. Volatility rose amid uncertainty over a potential U.S. government shutdown and its effect on economic releases like the non-farm payrolls report. In terms of positioning, speculators exited their net long positions, which still sit just below the two-year high.
