Stocks open higher as strong economic data and a major chip industry investment boosted markets. The Bank of England left interest rates unchanged with a 7-2 vote. U.S. jobless claims came in lower than expected, while the Philly Fed Manufacturing Index posted a huge beat. Crude Oil futures, Gold futures, and Silver futures were all lower due to increased yields and a stronger U.S. dollar.
