Live Cattle futures closed lower in choppy trading, as did October Feeder Cattle futures and December Lean Hog futures. The wholesale boxed beef report was softer, with choice cuts falling to $273.95 and select cuts dropping to $275.94. The most recent Commitment of Traders report showed managed money maintaining a net long position in Live Cattle futures and options contracts.
