Stocks were mixed early, with Nasdaq futures and gold and silver futures posting gains. Crude oil futures also rose on the day. The yen was weaker despite stronger than expected Japanese GDP data. The BLS preliminary annual benchmark revisions to non-farm payrolls are scheduled for release, which could cause volatility and affect fed policy expectations. Major companies, including Oracle and GameStop, are set to report earnings, and Apple's iPhone event is anticipated tomorrow.
