Livestock futures ended lower today with Live Cattle, Feeder Cattle and Lean Hogs all settling in negative territory. October Lean Hogs futures ended their eight-day rally. Daily slaughter figures were in line with last year's reports. Live Cattle futures saw volatility reach new yearly highs. In contrast, lean hog volatility lingered near the lower end of its yearly range.
