British Pound futures traded higher, reversing four consecutive sessions of selling pressure. The rally was driven by the Federal Reserve chairman's speech, which was viewed as an indication of less restrictive monetary policy and a high probability of a rate cut in September, which boosted all major FX futures markets. The pound's move higher negates much of the selling pressure it experienced over the last couple of weeks.
