Global markets saw a mixed open as investors digested new geopolitical developments. WTI Crude Oil futures dropped as Russia and Ukraine continued to talk. The U.S. Dollar index strengthened against major currencies, pushing gold, silver and copper futures lower. Bitcoin and other major cryptocurrencies fell after recent highs. Several companies with market caps of over $1 billion reported earnings after the market close. Building permits and housing starts will be released tomorrow as well as China's latest CPI data.
