Pending all relevant CFTC regulatory review periods, effective trade date August 11, 2014, the New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc. (NYMEX or Exchange) will amend the contract size and value rule for one (1) petroleum futures contract such that the size of the contract is reduced from 1,000 metric tons to 100 metric tons. As such, the aggregate into ratios for the initial spot month position limit, single and all-month accountability levels will be adjusted to reflect the new contract size. The initial spot month position limit, single month and all-month accountability levels are unchanged and provided below in the contract unit of the parent futures contract. The terms and conditions for the amended petroleum futures contract will be updated and inserted into the NYMEX Position Limit, Position Accountability and Reportable Level Table located in the Interpretations and Special Notices Section of Chapter 5 of the NYMEX Rulebook effective August 11, 2014.
