• Increases to the Initial Spot-Month Position Limits and Single Month Accountability Levels for Eight (8) Palo Verde and Mid-Columbia Electricity Futures Contracts

    • Please be advised that effective Monday, January 20, 2014, for trade date Tuesday, January 21, 2014, and pending all relevant CFTC regulatory review periods, the New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc. (“NYMEX”) will amend the initial spot month position limits (NYMEX Rule 559) for eight (8) existing Palo Verde and Mid-Columbia electricity futures contracts. NYMEX will also amend single month accountability levels (NYMEX Rule 560) for Mid-Columbia Day-Ahead Peak Calendar-Day 5 MW Futures and Mid-Columbia Day-Ahead Peak Calendar-Month 5 MW Futures contracts. The terms and conditions for the 8 electricity futures contracts will be updated and inserted into the NYMEX Position Limit, Position Accountability and Reportable Level Table located in the Interpretations and Special Notices Section of Chapter 5 of the NYMEX Rulebook.
